The bible tells us of 2 different aspects of “Worship”:
One form of worship is how we act and respond to God on a daily basis, what our relationship should be (Romans 12:1). This is not what most people think of when “Worship is mentioned. |
The second form of worship and the one most people focus on is the formal worship service that an assembled church undertakes to please God. |
The bible gives directions and shows examples of what Christians do when they gather together. Please note that in our attempt to stay as close to what the scriptures direct, we try to not add anything that the scriptures do not include.
The bible tells us that when Christians gather they:
Acts 1:14, 2:42, 12:5
Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16, Matthew 26:30
Take of the “Lords Supper”, “Communion” or “break bread” in remembrance of Jesus. |
1 Corinthians 11:23-34, Matthew 26:26-30, Acts 20:7
1 Timothy 4:13, 2 Timothy 3:16
We believe that the scripture even give us examples for when to gather to worship.
